While doing some research on EP/Secure Transportation training, we ran across the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4). If you are involved in event security, I would suggest taking a look at their website and magazine (URLs below).
However, what got our (ISDA) attention is that they have a certification program – Certified Sports Security Profession (CSSP), which is accredited by ANSI.
Impressive – the organization was founded in 2006, making them about 13 years old, and they have an ANSI accredited certification. The executive protection profession has been around for decades, and there is nothing close to an ANSI standard or for that matter, any standard.
